74 year old British national fell off Cruise ship --- considered as missing at sea.

queenmary227122016PHILIPSBURG:--- On Monday, December 26, 2016, at approximately ten thirty pm (20.30) detectives were called on board the cruise liner Queen Mary 2 docked at the cruise facility in Point Blanche.
Upon arrival, detectives spoke with the Chief Security Officer who indicated that a female passenger with initials M.T., age 74 and a resident of Great Britain had fallen overboard after leaving port in New York.
Detectives spoke to her husband who said that he was awakened by an unknown noise in the cabin. He searched for his wife and found the balcony door was open and his wife’s bathrobe discarded by the door. He immediately alerted ships personnel. An immediate search on board and at sea was conducted including viewing video surveillance but the passenger was not located.
Sint Maarten was the first port of call; as such the incident had to be reported to local authority. The forensic department conducted an extensive search and the report will be forwarded to U.S. authorities. The victim is classified as missing at sea.
