PHILIPSBURG:--- The Joint Court of Justice found the suspect N.B. guilty of manslaughter and sentenced the suspect to 12 years in jail. N.B. was accused of strangling a toddler who was entrusted to him by his girlfriend on August 27, 2014. The verdict was in accordance with the punishment the Solicitor General had asked for the suspect. The verdict by the Joint Court of Justice also confirmed the ruling handed down by the Court of First Instance of St. Maarten on June 17, 2015, when N.B. was sentenced to 12 years in jail.
