PHILIPSBURG:---- The Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle has organized tutoring sessions for those students that will be entering the Scotiabank Rotary-Rotaract Spelling Bee Competition. There will be three sessions in total. These sessions will be held at the University of St. Maarten on Pond Island on Saturday, 24th September and on Saturdays 1st and 15th October. The time for the sessions will be 11.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. However, should sufficient participants request an additional session, this can be organized for Saturday, 8th October.
To date, 17 schools will be entering the Scotiabank Rotary-Rotaract Spelling Bee. The Preliminary Round begins on Sunday, October 16th, at the Belair Community Center. The 15 winners from that will head to the Semi-Final Round on Sunday, October 23rd. The five winners of the Semi-Finals will head to the Final Round being held on Sunday, October 30th.
