MULLET BAY:--- The St. Maarten Golf Association (SMGA) donated USD 3,000 to the No Kidding with Our Kids Foundation. The foundation is organizing afterschool activities aimed to develop chances for children ages 4 through 13. As a recipient of the Orange Bow bestowed on them by the Governer of St. Maarten the No Kidding with Our Kids Foundation actively participates in Homework guidance, creative, social and educational activities as well as recreational activities.
Members of the board of the Golf Association were pleased to meet director Mrs. Merlyn Schaminee-Miguel and numerous children on their holiday camp at the Emilio Wilson Estate to present them with the check.
The funds for the charities were raised during the 24th yearly edition of the St. Maarten Open earlier this year. SMGA would like to thank all the generous sponsors for making the St. Maarten Open a very successful event once more!
The SMGA is a non-profit organization that welcomes all beginning and experienced golfers, tourists and St. Maarten / St. Martin residents alike to become members and join them during tournaments and matches.
