Government could move in to Government Building on Pond Island by next month end.

governmentbuilding13072016PHILIPSBURG:--- Prime Minister William Marlin announced on Wednesday that the government of St. Maarten already gave notices to some of the landlords that government is renting from that they will be vacating the properties by August 31st 2016.
Marlin said while there is still some work to be done on the government building at Pond Island the government will commence moving into that building by next month. He said the first to move over will be the Council of Ministers.
Marlin said that the completion of the building that has been standing on Pond Island is a work in progress and government is very satisfied with the work done thus far.
The Prime Minister intends to take the media core on St. Maarten for a tour of the building because while people saw a building standing on Pond Island they don’t know how much work had to be done to the building in order for it become useable. He said the building was basically a shell.
