PHILIPSBURG:--- A male identified only by initials A. R about 50+ years died in an accident early Tuesday morning on Pic Paradis Road. Commandant of the Gendarmerie confirmed that a man was found dead in his vehicle just after 6am on Pic Paradis Road.
Monzoni said that based on preliminary information it appears as though the victim lost control while driving up the hill around 3 or 4 am Tuesday morning.
Monzoni said the victim is living on St. Martin and he knows the area very well. He said that while they believe the accident occurred earlier in the morning the Gendarmes were only called around 6 am since no one lives in the area where the accident occurred. Monzoni said that the Gendarmes are busy conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
