General Audit Chamber presented Audit Report 2015.

PHILIPSBURG:---  The General Audit Chamber presented its annual report for the year 2015 on June 6, 2016. This report represents the fifth annual report issued by the institution since its inception. In looking back over their work of the last five years, the General Audit Chamber strikes a critical tone in the foreword of the 2015 annual report. Specifically, the General Audit Chamber is concerned about the lack of compliance with laws related to public finance. As such, the institution makes an appeal to both Government and Parliament, and suggests that they take action towards achieving “substantive progress” of the financial management of government.
The report provides an overview of the audits and other advisory activities carried out in 2015. Each audit report issued in 2015 is briefly presented. With the annual report, the General Audit Chamber also provides a description of its operations, and gives account for the use of the budget of fiscal year 2015.
By law, the General Audit Chamber must present a report of its activities about the preceding year to both the Governor and Parliament prior to July 1st each year.
The report is published in both English and Dutch and is available on the website of the General Audit Chamber (www.arsxm.org).
