PHILIPSBURG:--- In connection with upcoming Carnival season and to better protect your self from becoming a victim of crime, the Police Force of Sint Maarten is providing the general public with the following Awareness and Safety Tips for Carnival 2016. It is to everyone’s benefit to take good notice of these safety tips.
A list of offences which will not be tolerated during the Carnival Season along with amount you will have to pay for a conditional dismissal is added to this press release. If anyone commits any of these offences during above mentioned period he/she will be arrested and brought before a Public prosecutor and will have to pay the fine on the spot. If the fine is not paid, that person will be incarcerated until such is done.
