Sucker Garden:--- Week 6 of the Ladies Basketball Championship continued with 2 games scheduled in the senior division. The first game between Learning Unlimited and Bush T Remedy ended up a forfeit and resulted in a win for Learning Unlimited.
The second game on the schedule was between Thunderz and Lightning. Lightning and Thunderz battled in the first half which lead to Thunderz only leading by 4, 24-20 at halftime. Lightning came out strong in the second and tied the game but Thunderz recovered and went on a big run to outscore Lightning 20-10 in the third to go up 44-30 at the end of the third. Lightning fought back to get it within single digits but their comeback fell short. Thunderz was lead by Claudia Fleming with 23 points and Chantel Hodge with 11 points. Lightning was lead by Jamaiah Newton - Herbert with 17 points and Selah Fleming with 12 points.
Games continue this Sunday for the U16 teams as their games are between 2-3pm, all three teams will play during this time. The senior teams will start at 3pm as Learning Unlimited take on Lightning and at 5pm Bush T Remedy take on Thunderz. Entrance fee is $1 and food and drinks are on sale, so see you next Sunday!!
Standings for the U16 Divison are Thunderz 5-1, Lightning 3-3 and Learning Unlimited 1-5. In the senior division are Thunderz & Lightning at 5-1, Learning Unlimited at 2-4 and Bush T Remedy at 0-6.
