PHILIPSBURG:--- Now that the Pandora box on GEBE Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Rene Gartner has opened there are more worms crawling out that anyone would have expected. SMN News got its hands on the reports made on the SAP payroll contract that Rene Gartner signed and then later dissolved without the approval of the Supervisory Board of GEBE. The documents which includes the invoice will show how the company’s CFO has chosen to bleed the government owned company in several ways. Gartner had an unsigned contract with Oxford Global Resources INC. where the company will provide services for their client GEBE and billed at an hourly rate. One of the persons working for Oxford was Shiela Jackson who was charging GEBE $180.00 per hour. However, Jackson chose to leave Oxford and opened her own company called Spectrum Consulting and IT Associates INC. GEBE then annulled what they had with Oxford and chose to do business with Spectrum who charges them $120.00 per hour along with another person whose name is Keith King. Both Solomon and King are being paid $120.00 per hour totaling $240. 00 per hour instead of the $180. 00 per that was paid to Global. For the month of July GEBE paid $4,800.00 for each week to Keith King, a total of $14,400.00 for Keith King for the month of July, this can be seen on invoice number 270 which is attached to this article while Shiela Jackson was paid $4, 800 for one week of work for the month of July 2015.
The internal investigation done at GEBE already shows that Global was paid over $230.000.00 not including hotel, lodging and car rental when representatives of the company are on St. Maarten. Further to that the SAP program that was implemented by Rene Gartner has been considered to be very questionable since it can hamper the accuracy of GEBE payroll system which is so far is accurate. With the SAP employees can run the risk of not getting paid on time since SAP is fully integrated system which can be affected if there are upgrades. The report stated that such problems already occurred in the past while there are concerns on the privacy since SAP is not a standalone program.
Now that SOAB is contracted by Government to conduct a forensic and operational audit one would hope that these contracts and figures will show up in their report if it is not being influenced by the shareholder representative (government.)
