NAGICO sponsors Fun Sports Day for foster homes (UPDATED)

nagicosilveria12082015PHILIPSBURG:--- NAGICO is helping The Your Voice Your Choice Foundation (YVYC) with the hosting of its second annual Fun Sports Day in efforts to give residents of various foster homes the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun games and sport activities. All participants will be awarded with a certificate for having taken part in the fun filled sports day.
On behalf of YVYC, Ms. Silveria Jacobs accepted the donation from NAGICO’s CEO, Mr. Dwayne Elgin and thanked NAGICO for stepping up to the plate where it concerns the support towards residents of the various foster homes. “NAGICO takes its role as a good corporate citizen very serious as we donate to many worthy causes such as this one throughout the year. It’s The NAGICO Way”, remarked Mr. Elgin.
The YVYC Foundation has arranged that each participant will be given a school bag filled with school supplies at the end of the event. In addition the homes will be given funds to assist with the purchasing of school uniforms and other school fees.
The Sports Day event will be held at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex on Friday August 14th, 2015.

Your Voice Your Choice Foundation is hosting it's 2nd annual Back-to-School Sports and Fun day this Friday from 8.30 to 2.00 pm.
It offers children in foster homes and other children the opportunity to play, have fun and compete. Snacks, fruits and drinks will be provided for all participants and the event will culminate with participants each being awarded with a schoolbag with school supplies... Int is the hope that the foundation will also be able to donate funds to assist the homes with purchasing uniforms.
The fun day has been moved to the Melford Hazel Sports Complex as RISC is already being used for the football U15 international tournament.
Donors willing to assist can still do so even after the event as the organizers will be checking with schools to see how many children still need assistance once school had started.
More than 60 children from the various foster homes have been confirmed as well as more than 40 online registrants.
This event caters for 150 children and registration will halt once the quota is met. However, if interested, parents can register to go on the waiting list as the Foundation aims to raise funds throughout the year to be able to assist students with the necessary tools to be successful learners.
Nagico is the main sponsor. Other companies have also partnered with YVYC to make this event possible namely, Telem, Prime Distributors, TLC, Caribbean Liquors & Tobacco and others which will be mentioned in a subsequent release.
