Isidora Murder Suspect Rishmer York must remain in pre-trial detention.

rishmeryork17052015PHILIPSBURG:--- Detained police officer Rishmer York will have to remain in prison until his case comes up for trial. York appealed the decision of the judge of instruction who extended his pretrial detention to 60days on June 12th 2015. Prosecutor Lemmers confirmed to SMN News that York lost the appeal and he is currently in a prison in Aruba for his own safety and security.
York is the lone suspect who shot Akeem Isidora to death with his service weapon on March 4th 2015 in Happy Estate Belvedere. Besides shooting Akeem Isidora to death Officer York, a rookie cop also fired shots at the Junior Isidora but missed. Police found at least three spent shells on the crime scene, while one of the bullets were removed from a wall where the older Isidora was standing when the suspect fired one shot at him. After the fatal shooting York fled the scene and went to the Philipsburg Police Station where he told his colleagues that he fired shots and killed Isidora in self-defense.
So far it is understood that York was upset with Isidora whom he accused of ‘messing’ with his girlfriend an officer of the coast guards. Prior to firing the deadly shots that claimed the life of Isidora, York called an officer from the National Detectives and told him that he was going to ‘take out’ the victim. The officer whom he contacted about two hours before the deadly shooting is the cousin of the victim Akeem Isidora.
