South Reward:--- One person is now dead while another has surrendered to police late Thursday afternoon confirmed Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson.
Henson said that two young men were involved in a dispute when several shots were fired. Henson who was at the scene when SMN News interviewed him said that based on preliminary information police got at the scene the two men were quarrelling when several shots were fired. He said he cannot say what caused the dispute and who really fired the shots but at the scene of the crime one of the two men is lying on the ground and he is not showing any signs of life while the second person (suspect) surrendered to police. The police spokesman said the incident occurred around 6:25pm in the South Reward area. Information reaching SMN News states that the that the victim is the son of a well known taxi driver known as "Mello". Residents of the area identified the victim as Riley Richardson who is also a taxi driver. Residents of the Reward area said that all day the young me were in the area having a good time and they do not know what caused the dispute for the deadly shootout. The residents said some six shots were fired.
Further information information reaching SMN News identified the suspected shooter who is now in police custody as a former fire fighter Alcedro Ash who is also a taxi driver, persons that were in the area at time of shooting said the two men were arguing over a joint. However, that information could not be confirmed up to the time this article was written.
