Dept. of Economic Licenses announces changes to licensing process.

GREAT BAY (DCOMM):--- Effective January 1, 2015, all economic licenses such as business, vending, operational, and public transportation licenses, and amendments to the aforementioned processed after January 1, 2015, will be issued in the English language.

The Department of Economic Licenses is requesting that from henceforth all requests for the aforementioned licenses are submitted in the English language.

Furthermore, economic licenses will no longer require stamps from the Receivers Office of Sint Maarten. The relevant fees are however still applicable and must be paid at the Receivers Office Sint Maarten. A valid receipt of payment from the aforementioned must be presented to the Department of Economic Licenses, before the license can be issued.

Persons already in the possession of stamps for processing fees paid must submit these to the Department of Economic Licenses when picking up your license.
