PHILIPSBURG:--- The Minister of Labor Cornelius de Weever announced on Wednesday that the amendment of the Civil Code is now finalized and that the document which has a lot to with the Ministry of Justice now has to follow the chain before it can be implemented.
Minister de Weever said that the document has to go to the Governor and to Parliament for their approval prior to it being implemented. He said several politicians are out there campaigning on curtailing the abuse of short term contracts but he wants them to know that the amendment of the civil code is already finalized. He admitted that the amendments took some time before it could have been finalized.
