Zenitel N.V. (EURONEXT Brussels: ZENT), a leading player in critical radio, instant and secure audio and data communication, recently announced its results for the fiscal year 2012.
The company has experienced an increase in turnover to EUR 64.7 million in 2013, up from EUR 63.0 million in 2011 and recurrent EBITDA was EUR 4.7 million compared to EUR 4.3 million in 2011. Net profit amounted to EUR 0.9 million, against EUR 0.5 million last year; and net financial debt and obligations resulting from past restructuring and litigations have been reduced by EUR 2.9 million to EUR 10.5 million.
Kenneth Dastol, CEO of Zenitel, commented, "We are very pleased with our results in 2012 where we increased the top line by 3% and the EBITDA by 9%. Furthermore we reduced net debt and further improved our balance sheet."
Zenitel also launched a new series of IP stations called "Turbine" in 2012. "The feedback from the market has been better than expected, and due to our new products we have already been able to win major projects in all our market segments, Dastol added. The sales impact of these new products has yet to be fully realized.
"In 2013 Zenitel will continue to focus on growing the business and further reducing debt. We intend to reinvest the profits generated primarily into sales and marketing, product management and further product development. Focused on the execution of our strategy, we are well positioned to meet and overcome tomorrow's challenges and to continue growing our company," Dastol concluded.
General Manager Zenitel Caribbean, Bert Schreuders expressed he is very satisfied with the result, which serves to prove that the new strategy and management based on "innovative solutions based on the clients' needs" works.
