Philipsburg:--- To all vendors that are operating during for the carnival season. You must be in the possession of a valid vending-permit from the Department of Economic Affairs. Anyone operating without a permit will be in violation with the law and will be given a hefty fine. The items that are being sold can be confiscated. All vendors that have a permit must follow all stipulations of the permit. Not following these stipulations is regarded as operating without a permit. The Economic Affairs when giving out these permit this year will attach list of the areas Philipsburg where the selling of goods will not be allowed.

Permits should be processed at an earlier time/date. The governor has too much on his plate and is sitting on many permits/payments for the people of sxm. ;-)

:--- To all vendors that are operating during for the carnival season. To me, this says:"Do whatever you want, whenever you want. Just not during carnival season."

This is when the 'poor man/woman' will sell some beer, chicken, peanuts etc. If they make a few dollars, government want their share.

What about the businesses with 'CARNIVAL SPECIALS', who don't give a penny to carnival. They rape the name, but don't pay a penny.

There is no legal means to go after them.
But we can refuse to buy from them.

I believe thhe SCDF should ask all who advertise carnival specials for donations and when they give $500 or more, put a sticker on their door saying 'We Support Carnival'.
If we don't see the sticker, we don't support them.

    Okay, so das me dream.
    Blessings!!
