Prime Minister Emphasizes that Government improving overall administration of Government Apparatus.

Personnel Information System soon fully operational.

The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams emphasized that her Government continues to work diligently towards Governmental systems that aim to improve the overall administration of government. "Not withstanding what I have mentioned on several occasions and regarding the challenges that we face as new country St. Maarten, and especially the balance between the General Government Administration and the individual responsibilities of the respective Ministers," stated the Prime Minister.
The PM continued by stating that Government continues to work diligently in the area of General Governance including the Full launching of the Personnel Information System; "I can mention among other things and also with my thoughts on the report that was made by the General Audit Chamber that the Personnel Information System which has been in the works since 2009 and in 2010 is nearing completion. The implementation of this system allows us to digitalize our personnel information, personnel files and will also serve to establish the link between the various Departments of Government. New components are currently being introduced and we will be for several months be working with a shadow system until it becomes fully operational," concluded the PM.
