NAGICO Insurances hosted their annual Agent's Awards dinner on Friday evening at the Sonesta Maho Resort, where several local and overseas agents were awarded for their outstanding premium production over 2011.
Under the theme Reaching Further; agents, staff and invited guests were urged by CEO of the NAGICO Group, Imran McSood Amjad, to be passionate about what they do.
"If you want to succeed at your job or anything else that you do, you have to have a passion for it," he said in his address. "Knowing something very well does not mean you are motivated to do it very well, motivation comes from passion and passion gives you the drive to achieve."
He lauded all the agents for their tireless efforts which he believes is evident and key in NAGICO's success. McSood Amjad also had high praises for the top producers who generated premiums exceptionally higher than others. They are as follows: Agent of the Year for NAGICO N.V which went to Joshua Dharamraj; the owner of North Eastern Insurance, Most Improved Agent; Richard Boyd of RAI Insurance Company and Top Life Producer, which was captured by Neil Henderson of Henderson Insurances.
Several other agents received awards in Diamond, Gold, Silver and Bronze categories based on their premium production.
The year 2011 was a significant year for NAGICO, as it was during this period that NAGICO started operations in St. Lucia and bought GTM in Trinidad & Tobago and British American Insurance Company in St. Maarten, Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. NAGICO Insurance is now operational in 19 Caribbean territories and growing.
