PHILIPSBURG:--- Health Care Laboratory Services St. Maarten will be opening a new COVID-19 testing facility in Philipsburg to provide services to cruise-goers, returning stay-over tourists, and residents & businesses in the greater Philipsburg area.
The new test center is located at Emmaplein #1, across from the FCIB Bank, and will provide a luxurious and comfortable setting for clients to be tested by professional lab technicians. Services such as pre-travel Rapid Antigen testing and PCR testing will be available at this location.
To make use of these services, no appointments are needed. Customers can simply walk in from Monday to Friday, 11 am till 1 pm, and walk out with their printed Rapid Antigen test results within approximately 20 minutes. The PRC test results, which are more detailed, will be available for pick-up within 24hours.
Dr. Fey van der Dijs is very happy with the new testing facility in town. He stated: “We are currently busy set-up and furnish our new testing facility, and we are excited to now also offer COVID-19 testing services from yet another location starting June 1st. Our new testing site is located in the heart of Philipsburg with ample free parking space in front and public transport within reach. While COVID tests are often mandatory for travel purposes, testing is also a very important tool to control the COVID-19 pandemic, keep our community safe, and is key in getting back to normal. We, therefore, welcome all residents, businesses, and tourists to make use of our new test facility”.
