PHILIPSBURG:---Creators of TelCell night of the Hitmakers, Xtratight Entertainment is gearing up for an exciting cultural event showcasing, both local and international Calypso, social commentary including a twist of comedy on November 30th, 2019.
Set to perform are well known Calypso Giants Sugar Aloes, Gypsy, King TMo, King Beau Beau, Empress Z, and Cedrick Rey. Backed by
the Xtratight Band, this Melange will be hosted by renowned comedian Fernando Clark.
According to the show promoter, Bertaux “Mr. Rude” Fleming, of Xtratight Entertainment, the Calypso lounge will foster great energy and the oldie goodies will have you rising to your feet. “We will be rekindling the art form and igniting the passion for CALYPSO and talent for the audiences who enjoy the social commentary. "It is important to note that this is not a competition, but a high energy concert”.
The artists have been gearing up to put on a showcase that will resonate as a memorial experience for their fans. Sugar Aloes is a calypsonian from Trinidad and Tobago with hits such as "Party Time" and "Juanita", "I Love Being Me" and "Signs of the end of Time".
Famous hits, such “Captain the ship is sinking” and “Little Black Boy “ along with many more will be performed live by Gypsy, also a well-known calypsonian from Trinidad and Tobago. He is recognized for being one of the world's best Extempo (Freestyling) artistes winning over seven Extempo titles. Our “countless crowned” local kings, TMO and Beau Beau, and our 2019 Calypso Monarch, Empress Z will be gracing the stage.
Gates at the Port de Plaisance tent will open at 8:00 pm and showtime begins at 9:00 pm sharp.
