~ More shady business taking place at USZV, Medwork, and Medicosmetics.~
PHILIPSBURG:--- Some high paying staff that worked for USZV has left their place of employment and are now working for a company created by the former Chief Operations Officer (COO) of USZV Ramzy Dennaoui the company Medwork Corporate Health Solutions is located Puerta de Sol Plaza. Dr. Joanne Siebel has been listed as the General Manager and Physician. Dr. Siebel also worked for USZV as a control doctor in the past.
Several persons within the community have been questioning the role of Medwork Corporate Health Solutions and their affiliation to USZV which many said are shady and was created to milk money out of USZV and private companies while their key role is to bypass house doctors and breach the privacy between patients and their house doctor.
Several companies including Medicosmetics located in Cole Bay just recently informed their staff that they have contracted Medwork St. Maarten as per August 1st, 2019. The company further informed its employees that Medwork offers services regarding occupational health insurance, medicine and healthcare management.
The employers of Medicosmetics informed their staff that in the event any of them reports for disability to work they must follow their working procedures. The company has assigned two health coordinators that employees must report their absenteeism to the health coordinator at least one hour before their shift begins. The employee is obliged to visit the company’s doctor in the person of Dr. Joanne Siebel on the first day of illness and Dr. Siebel will then evaluate the employee’s health and determine whether the employee is fit for work and also their general health and wellbeing.
Medicosmetics further stated in their communication that if the employee is declared fit for work by the company’s doctor ( Dr. Joanne Siebel) but the employee feels that they are still unable to work between the first and third day then they would have to restart the initial procedure. In the case of longterm sick leave if it is unavoidable then the employee will be advised to visit USZV on the third day.
Failure to adhere to the company procedures the employee or employees will receive a warning letter, withhold their salaries and those that consistently not adhering to Medicosmetics policy will lead to dismissal. The policy distributed by Medicosmetics were drawn up by the former employees of USZV namely Dr. Joanne Siebel and Ramzy Dennaoui. It should be noted that Dr. Joanne Sieble is not allowed to practice medicine on St. Maarten as he is also not allowed to prescribe medication to patients. Dr. Siebel began working on St. Maarten as a controlling doctor at USZV.
Who is Medicosmetics?
Medicosmetics is the Curacao based company that established a company on St. Maarten and have replaced Alpha Healthcare that was located in Cay Hill and owned by Deb Alha. Prior to the establishment of Medicosmetics, the Curacao based owners operated an unregistered company called LabCo. The company was granted the contract to provide medical supplies to all patients, ambulance department and others such as pharmacies on St. Maarten. It was clear that the tendering process was not transparent and that the Director of USZV Glen Carty is in cahoots with the owners, Jan Beaujon of Medicosmetics and LabCo. Clearly, Carty and his staff that opened Medwork are in the process of phasing out doctors while depriving employees of their rights and privacy since they are now in control of which doctor the employees sees.
SMN News learned that GEBE also is using the Medwork since the former Chairlady of USZV Sharine Daniel and Ramzy Dennaoui are close friends and alleged business partner.
