WILLEMSTAD, Curacao:--- Police are busy conducting an investigation into what appears to be an assassination/murder of an unknown man. According to information reaching SMN News, the body of the victim was found face down on the road in Santa Rosa early Thursday morning. It is not yet known what time the killing took place.
At the moment police cordoned the scene of the crime and are busy conducting their investigation.
Shooting with death
On Thursday, June 15th, 2017 around 5.30 AM, the police central directed a patrol car to Kaya Kent Uzelf near a parking lot of a food vendor after having received information that some unknown persons in a car must have fired various shots at a man. The patrol that arrived on scene found the man lying down on the ground with various gunshot wounds in his upper body without signs of life.
From the preliminary investigation, the police conducted on the scene, it became clear that the victim was driving a grey pickup accompanied by his family on the road mentioned. At a certain moment, a car with one or more persons drove up next to the pickup. The victim stepped out of the pickup and various shots were fired from the car directly at the victim.
Around 7.20 AM the police doctor pronounced the death of the man known as Dwight Ansermo Felida born in Curacao April 21st, 1968. On the order of the public prosecutor, the body was confiscated for further investigation.
The investigation into this case is continuing.
The KPK investigators are calling on possible eyewitnesses to contact them at 917 and 108 with whatever information they may have that would assist in solving this brutal murder (on this lines anonymity is guaranteed)
