PHILIPSBURG:--- The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) marked a deeply meaningful occasion today, commemorating 16 years of unwavering service, sacrifice, and dedication to the people of St. Maarten, while also honoring the cherished memory of our beloved colleague, Officer Keri Hyman.
Ahead of its official anniversary on October 10, KPSM hosted a special pre-anniversary gathering with the Police Union Board, led by Mr. Marcus Pantophlet.
During this heartfelt occasion, Chief of Police Mr. Carl John expressed sincere appreciation to KPSM's courageous men and women, recognizing their countless sacrifices, tireless efforts, and unwavering commitment to protecting and serving the community.
Sixteen years represent more than an anniversary. They tell a story of courage, resilience, sacrifice, and an unbreakable spirit. Through hurricanes, hardships, uncertainty, and countless challenges, our men and women in blue have stood strong. Even when the road was difficult, their dedication never wavered, and their commitment to serving St. Maarten remained steadfast.
As we reflect on this milestone, our hearts also turn to the memory of Officer Keri Hyman. While we deeply feel the pain of this loss, we remain grateful for the life, service, and memories shared. Our fallen colleague will forever remain part of the KPSM family and its history.
To the extraordinary men and women of KPSM, past and present: you are the heart, strength, and foundation of this organization. Behind every uniform is a person who has made sacrifices, faced challenges, and continued to serve with courage and pride. Your dedication has shaped KPSM into the organization it is today.
