PHILIPSBURG:--- The National Alliance of Sint Maarten is saddened by the tragic and senseless shooting that took place at Florida State University. With many of our St. Maarten students studying at FSU, this tragedy hits especially close to home. We are deeply concerned for their safety and well-being, and our hearts go out to them and their families during this difficult time.
We extend our deepest sympathies to all those who are grieving the loss of loved ones. There are no words that can truly ease the pain of losing a young person full of promise and potential. It is a loss that resonates far beyond the university, touching communities near and far, including our own.
To all those affected, we grieve with you and we send love from Sint Maarten. Let us continue to uplift and protect our youth, wherever they may be, and work together to build a safer world for them all.
