Plenary Public session of Parliament about the effects of the lumpsum subsidy on the FAVE and SVOBE schools.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The House of Parliament will sit in an Urgent Continuation Plenary Public session on Monday, May 27, 2019.

The public meeting which was adjourned on March May 20, 2019, will be reconvened on Monday, at 1011.00 hrs. in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. The Minister of Education, Culture, Youth, and Sport will be present.

The agenda point to be discussed is:

The effects of the lumpsum subsidy on the FAVE and SVOBE schools, whereby school boards have clearly expressed that lower student numbers resulting in lower subsidies threatens their financial position and negatively affects quality education in their schools (IS/1001/2018-2019 dated May 16, 2019)
