The Junior Chamber International Dutch Caribbean (JCI Dutch Caribbean) held its annual Leadership Academy on the 24- 25 of August 2016. This event took place at Shiloh's Guesthouse & Conference Willemstad, Curacao. JCI LIVE Soualiga was represented by President Delmarie Cornelius and Vice President of Community Project Jessica Weeks.
The session entailed exercises on public speaking, membership retention and growth, the difference between a leader and a manager, why we honour the JCI creed and the sharing of personal experiences and knowledge to motivate, collaborate, invest and impact the communities and members of the local chapters. The Leadership Academy was highly recommended for leaders of each chapter to make the JCI Dutch Caribbean stronger and to encourage more closer collaboration. The Academy was informative and promoted leadership among the participants.
The trainers for this year's Leadership Academy were Abigail Paula, Dave Martinus, Candice Henriquez and Rainelda Maduro.
JCI LIVE Soualiga will be looking forward for five (5) members to participate from its local chapter for 2017 JCI Dutch Caribbean Leadership Academy.
