THE NEW TESTAMENT BAPTIST CHURCH PRESENTS LECTURE ON WOMEN'S HEALTH.

In keeping with the various activities organized in commemoration of its 55th anniversary, the New Testament Baptist Church is continuing its outreach program activities which include the organization of a number of lectures on Health and on Finances.
Last month, the New Testament Baptist Church kicked off the lecture series with two very successful and informative lectures on Taxes. Drs. Maria Bass of the Tax Inspectorate, who was the presenter, brought along several staff members of the Tax Inspectorate to assist persons with the filing out of the 2011 Tax return forms which had to be submitted before May 31st.
This month, the lecture series continues with a lecture on health. The first lecture on health will be delivered by Dr. Randolph Friday, son of the soil, a young St. Maarten gynecologist who after completion of his medical studies, returned to St. Maarten some five years ago.
Dr. Friday is a former student of the St. Maarten Academy who went to the USA to pursue his medical studies in obstetrics and gynecology at Howard University Medical School in Washington, D. C. Dr. Randall Friday completed his medical training at Henry Ford hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
In a recent interview, Dr. Friday, who opened the first Women's Health Center on St. Maarten three and a half years ago, expressed his concern about several aspects of women's health disorders and diseases, such as the increasing incidents of fibroids and cancer among the female population on St. Maarten.
The presentation by Dr. Friday is expected to be very informative and is meant to empower especially women on the island to take control of their health.
The New Testament Baptist Church is inviting its members and the general public at large to come out and get informed.
The lecture by Dr. Friday will take place on Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 at 7:30 pm at the New Testament Baptist Church in Philipsburg, next to Kentucky Fried Chicken and is free of charge.
