On Saturday, 16 June 2012, 14 volunteers from the U.S. Forward Operations Location (USFOL) visited the Dieren Asiel Parera Animal Shelter. They provided assistance to this important Curacao community charity by cleaning kennels, feeding and watering the animals, and providing much-needed interaction. Scott Coomer of the USFOL, working with the chaplain's office, coordinated the donation of 55 kilograms of food for the animals.Mrs. Gwendolyn Weber was very grateful for both the volunteer work and the food. "You have been absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for everything. Because we do not receive subsidies from other agencies, everything you provide is appreciated. Your generosity is a help to my staff and to the animals. We cannot thank you enough!"
