The SHTA is pleased that the demolition of Mullet Bay Beach Resort has finally begun. Whenever visiting with Industry partners abroad, travel agents always use the ruins of the Mullet Bay resort as an example of the island not having recovered from Hurricane Luis. The SHTA believes that this will send a positive message to the International Tourism Community. The SHTA commends Minister of Infrastructure, Theo Heyliger for this accomplishment and hopes to see the area redeveloped in a sustainable manner.
