"... and has been placed in garde du vue."
It, "in garde du vue" must mean some kind of arrest.
So does it mean: "held or detained under suspicion" --- "Is he under house arrest, in prison, or the police cell?" Has he been charged with arson when placed "in garde du vue"
Could someone who masters the French language please specify the exact meaning?

Garde de vue: As a suspect in custody

'in garde du vue' means literally 'keep in view'. He is in custody.

"Garde du vue" doesn't mean anything at all. "Garde à vue" is correct. Journalist should Know better. ( Garde à vue is the time when they keep you for questioning .. )

Une garde a vue sur le territoire français indique que pour la nécessité d'une enquete, une ou des personnes peuvent être gardé de force à la gendarmerie ou commissariat pour interrogatoire. Cela ne veux pas dire pour autant que la ou les personne(s) sont et doivent être inculpé pour un ou des faits.
Ceci dit, si effectivement des traves de gasoil ont été trouvés a bord du véhicule, alors les chances que "stephane" soit effectivement coupable est probable. A ce titre, la jeep blanche, appartenant à sa femme à été vue 15 minutes avant le départ de feu...

Aren't you the one who frequently comments on persons grammar? You've got some grammar errors there yourself. When you have mastered both the english and the french language then you can make comments in reference to the bloggers grammar. In the meantime. it's best if you refrain from correcting the bloggers grammar because you do make errors yourself.

That is why I asked someone to explain "in garde du vue"
Sometimes I wish SMN NEWS would implement a registration system before commenting so bloggers would watch what they say, and make it impossible for others to use bloggers names.

I'm almost 100% certain that SMN news wont implement a registration whereby bloggers will reveal their true identity. If you feel so strongly about it then I would recommend that you start your own news website and implement that rule....Again, I doubt many persons will register....So tell me..how bout you lead the way. Post your true identity then lets see how many other persons will follow.

When Peter Gunn was hallucinating that my true ID was Judith Roumou I posted my true ID in order for him to stop with his attacks on the woman... but it was rejected & labeled as another fake ID of said woman he apparently has been lusting after for years... without any success.
