Registration for all Carnival 2013 activities will open on Tuesday, September 4. The St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) announced over the weekend that it is ready to accept registrants for what it expects to be another successful carnival season.

Persons interested in taking part in Carnival must register before December 1, 2012 when the process will be closed. Registration forms can be picked up at the Government Administration Building in Philipsburg and returned to the same location. The forms can also be sent digitally once a request is emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Registration is open for booth holders, queen pageants, junior and senior calypso shows, children and grand parades. Persons who already have a booth in the village are reminded that they still have to register for their booth. Should they fail to do so, they will forfeit their booth for Carnival 2013 and beyond.

"In keeping with our early preparations, we encourage everyone interested in registering for Carnival to do so before the deadline. We will not extend this deadline. Being registered early gives everyone enough time to prepare and stage impressive events," SCDF President Stuart Johnson said.

The SCDF can also be reached by calling 5220509 or 5225133.

Are you people for real? Stuart!!! Hmmm he will be hitting from the back door. Let him stay
at the school. Hope at the end of the schoolyear the figures for pa**ing will be at the highest
for he talks like a diarrhea.

@ what.... Stop talking nonsense. Stuart is the principal, not the teacher responsible for children pa**ing. He can do all he wants, but at the end of the day the teacher standing in front of that cla** is responsible. Further more, he does not choose nor hire teachers. He will have to use what ever teacher is being sent to his school. Good or bad. Shut up next time.

He might be good for the hospital. Because he likes putting things in the news. And if things are not good at the hospital, they will have to straigten up or else everybody will know via the new. Put him on the hospital board.
