Bankrupt Businessman Detained for Refusing to Cooperate with Trustee.

Philipsburg:--- A businessman identified as Busarov Emolphia, the owner of El Mopia was arrested Friday morning at the Court of First Instance when the man showed up for one of his bankruptcy hearings. In an invited comment, Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos said that the businessman has been refusing to cooperate with the trustees from HBN Law. Mos said the businessman filed for bankruptcy and in order for the court to handle his bankruptcy requests he needs to open his books and be transparent with the trustee in the interest of his creditors and himself.
Maarten Le Poole from HBN Law told SMN News that he was forced to ask the Judge to detain the man because he is not cooperating. Le Poole said the judge granted his request and a warrant was issued. Le Poole further explained that the bankruptcy law gives the court the power to detain someone who filed a bankruptcy and refuses to cooperate with the trustee. The attorney at law further explained that he will visit Busarov in prison where he will explain him his rights and also inform him that if he wants his freedom then he must cooperate with the trustee assigned to handle the bankruptcy.
