The first agenda point is related to the Penal Code while the second one is the approval of the working visit of the President of Parliament to Washington DC from March 25-28, 2012.
The Minister of Justice Hon. Roland Duncan is expected to be present for the first agenda point.
The Thursday meeting will start at 10:00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House of Parliament on Wilhelmina Straat #2.1 in Philipsburg.
The committee meeting will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 20 and via Pearl Radio FM 98.1. The audio will be carried via the Internet www.pearlfmradio.com.

Dear MP's,
Please have President of Parliament give a FULL ACCOUNT of:
1. Why this event was of National Importance to attend
2. What CONCRETE benefits St. Maarten as a Country gained from it or will gain from it
3. All declared expenditures (airfare, hotel, transportation, food & beverage, per diem, etc etc).
4. If the Event was on March 26, why did the President of Parliament have to travel from March 25-28? Why the 2 extra days? Have any expenses been declared from these 2 extra days? If so, full details please.
5. If this event was of national importance (which it was clearly NOT): then why did the President of Parliament visit and not the Prime Minister?
Tax Payers DEMAND a THOROUGH explanation. It's our money so we have a right to know how public money is being spent by our government officials.
Thank you.
