Philipsburg:--- Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos confirmed on Monday that one of the three suspects arrested last week Wednesday is the son of Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson. Police arrested three suspects after an all night operation as they followed the suspects they believed to be involved in a series of burglaries in the Philipsburg area. The investigating officers also searched three locations, one of which is the home of the Police Spokesman.
SMN News learnt that police arrested the officer's son and his girlfriend while they searched a home in Belvedere and confiscated a set of expensive jewelry. Police also arrested a third suspect, sources close to the investigation say the third suspect is an employee of Diamond Casino.
Head of the Detective Department Denise Jacob told SMN News in an exclusive interview that two of the three suspects that are behind bars are the main suspects in a spate of robberies. Jacob said at least three jewelry stores were robbed in recent weeks and three locations were searched, two homes and a Guest House in Pointe Blanche area.
She said that the jewelry they confiscated are expensive items such as rings and bracelets. Jacob did not divulge much information on the ongoing investigation. When asked by SMN News if there is any fear among the officers that they might be victimized after arresting a close relative of their colleague. Jacob said the police organization is busy creating awareness among themselves ensuring that everyone within the organization knows that all persons whether they are relatives of police officers or fellow police officers that are suspected of any crime must be treated equally. "In my book no one is above the law, and the officers must be able to do their jobs without the fear of victimization. As the head of this detective department I will not stand for that," Jacob assured.

His father always said he would be punished.

Parents are not responsible, for what these children do.

Beat them to a pulp, and go in jail for something you do,
don't leave the children throw shame in your face.

Remember the Bible say:
Don't spoil the child and spare the rod.
Beat them.

Denise, instead of defending your colleague and saying that he is not the kind of person who will interfere with a case, you accusing him indirectly by telling Bibi that you wont stand for him victimizing his colleagues working on the case? After the Chief cleared him in the previous incident where he was wrongly accused? Something is not right with this woman. She's up to no good.

Brian, I hope you are not involved in these robberies. I know your parents brought you up well and disciplined all of you. I'll still give you the benefit of the doubt.....for now. IF you are involved, now would be the time to change your life around, for yourself and your youth. I know there is a lot of good in you, nobody can tell me otherwise.

The young man from Waymouth Hill has in the meantime been locked up in jail and his father (a police officer) carried him in. It is not always the parents fault. Some children do not listen and have to learn the hard way.

THE FATHER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE.

THE SAME POLICE SAYS:
YOU CANNOT GO IN A CHILD ROOM IF THEY DON'T WANT
YOU TO.
AGAIN WRONG.
BECAUSE, NO CHILD OF MINE IS GOING TO TELL ME I CAN'T
GO IN A ROOM IN MY OWN HOUSE, BECAUSE I WILL TELL YOU, I WILL COOK HIM A SPANISH PORK CHOP, AND THEN ASK ROYAL TO BURN HIM.

THESE GOD DAMNED CHILDREN NEED FEET UP THEIR BEHINDS, THEY ARE TOO RUDE.

But isn't Inspector Henson other son a police officer? Why would people prosecute Henson because 1 son decided to go the wrong path, why not give him praises for rearing his other son to taking the right path. Let's be fair, he can't control every move of his children, one chose to be a thief while the other chose to battle crime and protect us. I will say Good job Henson keep up the good work and you thought your son well.

The point is that time and again his father continues to bail him out. A couple months ago, he was stopped in a car with guns and drugs. He was released soon after. You cannot make the children's minds, but if you don't hold them responsible for their wrongdoings, then the blame is yours as well.

I do not know Inspector Henson but why critizise Mr. Henson, even if his child still lives in his house and the offspring is an adult, the father/parents can not be held responsible for that childs actions. Mr. Henson be strong in these difficult times. The Lord will guide you and yours. What you are experiencing right now can happen in the best of families circles. You will not be the first and definetely not the last to experience this nightmare. Hold your head up high brother. There are those out there that wishes you well.

I blame both the parents and the system.

From the time that a child is born they are to be disciplined. Don't wait until they are in their teens to try and correct them.

When toddlers, they can be tapped on their behinds and given the "no nonesense" eye to make them understand that what they are doing is wrong. As they grow older and are still unruly, they need a good "cut behind". When in their teens and they feel that they are men and women, make them feel what it is all about.

Stop saying: "I don't know what to do with him/her anymore".

YOU are the parent, show them that and to hell with what the authorities have to say if you give them a good beating.
This stupid "time out" and "grounded" bull crap just is not working.
And above all, stop saying: "Not my child". Your child is no better than any other and is capable of anything .... unkown to you. Make sure that it is NOT YOUR child.

Also, when small, send your children to Sunday School. Give them a chance to learn the teachings of God. All other nations do so to give their children something to think about, be it Budhism, Hindoism, Islamic or even Etheists.

All that, too many of, our kids know is to wear name brand clothing, visit the nightclubs or jams and back it up. Make them get summer jobs to teach them the value of having luxuries, make them do house chores, make them do their homework and teach them about the good and evil of the Bible.

If all else fails, give them the beating of their lives and then feel good about sitting in a jail cell instead of crying at their grave sides.

Disciplining and ill treatment (abuse) are 2 totally different things. If you are a loving, caring and responsible parent, you WILL know the difference.

You make the child bu you do not make the mind, but a young lady told me years ago YOU MAKE THE CHILD, YOU DO NOT MAKE THE MIND, BUT YOU CAN SURELY M O L D THE MIND. Our minds were molded years ago by our parents and grandparents, even the neighbors molded children mind. Now adays parents, grandparents an the rest of us are so busy holding two jobs that we forget to speak to our children and let them know what is expected of them. Even the so called christians are too busy to really speak to the youth and that is part of the problem we are faced with.In my house I can search any room. When I cannot do that then you have to leave and go pay rent somewhere else, but in my house I AM THE BOSS, TAKE IT OR LEAVE.

Inspector Henson has 2 of his 3 children in the police force. They walked in their father's footsteps. Brian was rebellious from small, but to be a thief is a long stretch. Then again, I'm not the one conducting the investigation. Let justice run its course.

Hold up a minute, stop talking bull. It is not easy bringing up kids in this society. You have to have constant eyes on them. But they are so smart nowadays that they will be smoking weed and you might not know it. I had very strict and good parents, but not all my siblings went the right way as they reach their teens and adulthood. Sometimes beating kids is not the answer. Especially after they reach an age where they can understand right from wrong and have more responsibility. This can only make them more rebellious. Some children just has a behavioral problem and need professional help. Something lacking on the island.

All of the people here that is judging Henson and his wife as a parent... Just step back one minute and hold your two hands in front of you and see if all ten your fingers are the same length and size. Henson did his s**t in the past... He neglected his family for his lover Trudy Trus, (white lover he beat so badly) and his colleagues did nothing. While he Henson and his son was protected by the police in the past.... He is not to be held responsible for his 28 year old son behavior... Let Justice take its course.

@ "Wait".

First up, for clarity sake. My comment has nothing to do with just this case or the parenting methods of Mr. Henson. Neither am I "a child beating freak" smilies/grin.gif

However, You prove my point exactly. Training and correcting a child when it reaches its teenage years is WAY too late. This should be started from the time that child is born or at least from 3 months old.

If a baby looks at you and you are always smiling/content and loving it, feeding, bathing, cleaning it, it grows up in a happy manner .... unless it is feeling ill. Even when teething, you lessen its discomfort by the affection you show.
But if that baby sees you constantly crying, cursing and ignoring it, it continously cries and is fussy.

By toddler age it should be correcting with that "evil eye", explaining right from wrong and if so required a little tap on the buttocks with a stern "NO".

At teenage years it should be: "I bring you in this world and I will take you out before I let someone else, take you out". .... Period.
If that child rebels, then it is time to show "tough Love" and stop covering up for the child's unruly deeds. And, Lord forbid, you beat me ..... Then you got to go .... without theeth in your mouth!!!!!!!.

If we can teach a parrot to talk or a dog to sit, then why is it so hard to raise a child today????? Are you saying that our "Human" children are dumber than "animals"??? No they are not .... Parents are training them to be animals by "sparing the rod and spoiling the child". NO CHILD should be "smarter" than a PARENT. (that would mean the parent is not keeping up with the times and does not deserve to be called a parent).

I do agree that some children might need help (but there are too many considered in that category today Many are just out of controll) and believe me, there is help right here on the Island. But too many parents live in denial that there is something wrong with their children and therefore does not seek the proper help from an early age.

With your philosophy, it is no wonder that so many children are going astray. smilies/wink.gif smilies/angry.gif

Also these 2 points.

This morning I saw a child (appr. 6/7 years) almost run under a car while the mother was talking on her cell phone. What did the mother do??? she just ran after him, held him by the hand, while he was hitting her hand to let him go, and went back on her cell phone.
Question: Is there something wrong with the child???.
Answer: I do not believe so, I believe that there is something TERRIBLY wrong with the mother.

Secondly. I live in a school area and for years (my dogs) have been terrorized by "primary school children". I have complained to the teachers and Principal .... No use ... They said they try but it does not help.
This year I decided ...... NO MORE.
I took matters into my own hands, freaked out and went really beserk on them. smilies/grin.gif ... (after first complaining to the Principal and getting the same old tired story).

They now know exactly what I will do to them so that they would HAVE TO bring their parents in front of my door and I will then deal with their parents also.

Guess what??????? No more school children problems since that day

I tried it the decent way ... did not work, so I did it "Old school way" .... it worked. .... You do the maths.

These were "special ed. children" ..... considered to be unruly .... not fit for the regular school system. Many are not .... they are point blank RUDE and ILL MANNERED.

For years I have been dubbed one of the "coolest parents" around by a lot of young persons ... up to now. (no joking). But I have always ruled with an "Iron fist" when so required. It works and children appreciate and respect you for being a parent, a disciplinarian AND a best friend.

(true true stories).

@ "Thanks" smilies/grin.gif
