USM hosted first UNA session for Bachelor Business Administration and Accounting program.

usmstudentsatunasession01102012PHILIPSBURG:--- The University of St. Martin (USM) hosted its first class in the Bachelors in Applied Science in Business Administration and Accounting program on Friday, September 28, 2012. For the inaugural class UNA's business program director Drs. Guido was on island to facilitate the course. Other UNA instructors will be on island for the duration of the program.

On August 3, 2012, USM hosted an information session, where among those present, 22 USM alumni expressed an interest in following this executive program. Last week the President and Dean of the University of St. Martin were in Curacao on a work visit to ink the final requisites of a protocol of cooperation between both institutions regarding this program. The official signing will take place mid October 2012. This Executive Bachelor program is a result of many discussions and exchanges between USM and UNA aimed at accommodating the need of students to complete their bachelors. This program gives St. Maarten students access to NVAO accredited bachelor programs in Business Administration and Accounting.
With this UNA-USM bachelor in business program, St. Maarten students are finally able to earn their bachelor's degree in approximately two to maximum three years, including their final thesis on St. Maarten.

Persons are invited to contact the University of St. Martin at 721-542-5171 ext 1000 should they still be interested in pursuing their bachelor degree in business administration.
