Janine Arnel should have realized long time ago, that St. Martin people should come first in their country and not wait until she personally is finally affected.
Still, better late than never.
ALL St. Martiners should band together behind that cause, because sooner or later, we all will be wiped out, if we don't.

The reason that this can happen? SAINT MARTIN people are not together. Janine ARNEL for one when she was social worker treat Saint Martin people like dog, so what she talking for. When she give you an appointment and you come, she is on the her phone for hours and her colleagues is afriad top tell her that her appointment is there. I know because I had an appointment with her in french quarter and we cla*s. She felt like she was untouchable.

So all what happening now, is what we buy. So we have to wear it

this is not about one person, but all st-martiners must be concern. these people are benefiting things that they will not benefit in guadeloupe. as they get here they buy BMW and still using the collectivity vehicules. have house with pool which they don't have in guadeloupe. so let that person know it is not about janine. but she was brave enough to speak out lol

This problem is not only happening on French SXM, but also is rampant on Dutch SXM as well. Especially in Government where it is near impossible for a new Sxm employee to get a managemnet job. All preference goes to the white applicant because they "know it all". Not only that, but when a local is appointed, the salary difference is thousands less than what they would offer the european for the same job. This mind you doesn't include the rent that is paid and the car that is given to drive.

its about time that someone finally said something, although that has been my song for god knows how long. SXM is going down the drain fast. its time for us to build it back up. its so sad that the saint martiners have last preference when applying for a job. once they see a guadeloupeen or france man, they turn ignorant to us locals. its no longer about your level of education or how many diplomas you have, ITS ALL ABOUT WHO YOU KNOW AND WHO KNOWS YOU in sxm. so i have a BAC in my hand but don't know ppl and tom who never even get the brevet des colleges but who knows dick, harry, peter and paul get the job. PEOPLE LET'S WAKE UP THIS HAPPENING LONG TIME. TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE.

Yo know wha happen to we , we love to sit back and gossip to much and talk and do nothing, if you have diplomas and is qualified you have fo fight for what is right, or sometine we get in a possition and just sit and stay there we never look to advance, when look a some collectivite worker they spend all their carriere in ONE POSITION they do not advance so now is is a continuation we get the LESS and we do not DEMAND the best. I SAY put your diplomas on the table an DEMAND THE BEST, if not just walk and go elwhere once you are qualified you do not have towork in ST MARTIN you can work anywhere in a FRENCH TERRITOIRE and show these puppets that you do not NEED THEM , somethine away from home you can better treatement ONCE YOU ARE QUALIFIED.
In other countries people respect the laws, here they do not the have their own laws and applied how they want we need A DOMOTA here for them. I SAY WE NEED A DOMOTA

How can we as a peolple stand and let this type of management and confusions continue in our collectivity.
In the fonction publique there are rules rights and obligations. To evoluate you must sit national exams (concours); As for A.J., she is qualified to the position she has, and the one they are actually offering is a closet position, means empty missions (mise au placard). It is quite difficult for a people to accept what is hapenning not only for her but meany civil servants and most of them stay quiet. However, we have some civil servants who sit national exams like R.A. and have not received any type of propositions from the COM. WHAT IS GOING ON! WE NEED TRANSPARANCY!
INJUSTICE CAN NOT BE ACCEPTED ANYMORE!
There are problems every where on this island, we need to get them solve. We have become second cla*s ctizens in our own community; THIS MUST STOP!
In which country there are so many exterior human ressources what have they done in 3 years? and I heard their contracts are beeing renewed, on the sxm's people taxes.

There are many competent and excellent civil servants in that collectivity, I must say, whenever i go to that public service i'm very well attended.

the now senator lied to the sxm people, how they manage to hire a director of police municipale without meeting the legal requirements ?(you need at least 40 officers), they have 16 and among those are 4 gardes champêtres. that police force is in a mess, justice need to be done there.

Never the less, this has gone out of context, out of proportion. We all agree that the com has to change it's management strategy. It's obvious that the COM has issues. They got rid of the toes instead they should have got rid of the heads. Take example on St Barths. This little island is thriving for excellence. The population need to wake up and demand changes, France will have to come and take matters in hands. I see nothing else!
