jeffry01082010Union Farm: --- An emotional yet intelligent Jeffry Richardson former executive assistant to former commissioner Roy Marlin and Louie Laveist at a press conference on Saturday gave some reasons why he decided to found the Concordia Political Alliance (CPA). Richardson said while he called the press conference at a place he called ground zero, the party will be officially launched on August 15th where all the candidates who will be postulating the upcoming election will be presented.
Richardson said the time is now and there is no turning back since the people on St. Maarten has been neglected by elected officials. Jeffry said since he has been moving around the island he met with several persons who are suffering, especially the families that are living in the emergency homes in Union Farm. The houses he said needs to be repaired while the roads are hardly accessible. "This is a forgotten corner on St. Maarten and there are people who don't even know this place." Richardson said the reason why the island has so many gangs is because there is nothing for the youths to do. "There is no place they can socialized, no sporting facilities are here. The current government and those that were there before did not give the youths an opportunity for them to fulfill their dreams. The CPA he said intends to make changes that are structural to St. Maarten while their main objective is to strengthen and preserve St. Maarten's Cultural identity.

Politicians he said is not listening to their people who elected them to office. Richardson said it is time for everyone to place their hands on deck to change the current situation. He said the people have to now put their hands together for St. Maarten since Unity is Strength.
The youths he said cannot find jobs, no recreational center, no homes can be found while government is not doing anything to assist these people, one of the reasons he said crime is escalating. Richardson said people are being victimized depending on which party they vote for, a trend he intends to stop. The CPA founder said they do not want to be part of the "lump" of the past but their mission is to be the future of St. Maarten. Change he said can only come if the people are ready to make that change. His party's mission is to conquer the current situation where people are neglected. He said government is supposed to work for and to empower their people.
Richardson also said that the CPA will be focusing on being the representative for the native St. Maarteners and they would strive to give natives an equal opportunity in their country.
Jeffry Richardson resign from the St. Maarten Nation Building Foundation now that he has decided to enter the political arena. He presented his resignation to the President of the SNBF on Saturday during his press conference.
Supporting the CPA is president of the St. Maarten Nation Building Foundation Drs. Leopold James. James in his speech said he is proud of Richardson whom he said has stepped up to the plate to make a difference. He said Richardson has decided to take on a responsibility to form a political party that is long overdue for those people whose ancestors has formed the basis for St. Maarten and have been forgotten for decades. He also commended Jeffry for the way he has decided to form his party which is among the ordinary and working class people of St. Maarten. James said doing so has showed that the CPA has a solid foundation which would give the natives an alternative and a clear choice.
The members of the island council took sharp criticism from James who failed to say what and who are St. Maarteners in the constitution for country St. Maarten.
James said the elected officials on St. Maarten betrayed their country when they adopted the constitution for country St. Maarten. James said the leader of the National Alliance has turned his back on the St. Maarten people when he asked "What is the St. Maarten people who is St. Maarten people."
cpasupport01082010James said all the other political parties on St. Maarten are the same as they are all in the same political system, this he said was proven when they denied and rejected the St. Maarten people. "Each and every island council member betrayed the St. Maarten people at a moment when it mattered. A moment when our people needed to be protected and defended every one of them betrayed the St. Maarten people." He said these are these people who want to lead a country but when push comes to shove they abandoned the people they ought to be representing or defending. James said all those persons who have chosen to align themselves with the National Alliance, the Democratic Party and the United People's Party has the blood of the natives on their hands which cannot be washed off, simply because those people has betrayed their ancestors who built the island.
James said now the people have a choice with the CPA from the current "lump" that has the same political hybrid under different political parties. He said any party that does not want to build on solid foundation and has decided to abandon their people, those political parties cannot include others who have denied their own. James also presented the founder of the CPA with an identification card which would align him with his native ancestors.

Hi hi hi, This is funny. OK, I did not read anything I haven't heard before at meetings of other political parties. Last year the National Alliance had the same story. When in power politicians forget who put them there. Mr. Richardson tell us what makes you different from the NA, DP, PPA and UP. Although I will not vote for the CPA, I want to congratulate
mr. Richardson with his new political party.

All Dutch politicians are thinking, speaking and writing their language at academic level. Does Jeffrey Richardson speak any kind of NEDERLANDS in order to understand what these colonial masters and experts are saying to each other when talking about him and the native St. Maartener?

He has been executive a*sistant of a former Mullet Bay casino dealer, and a loud mouth stammering Cole Bay activist. Is he therefore qualified to launch himself as a leader for the native people?

I have seen you, but know nothing about you. So tell us why you want to be our Barack Obama.

Jeffrey, I would like to really congratulate you on your decision to involve yourself and your group in the business of this country! Although many will do everything to bring you down just keep your faith in God and do what you have to do. Know that it won't be an easy task! You will be attacked by your own but also by the "non saint martiners" because as it is said by many ,Saint Matin is "no longer ours"! Just continue to be who you are, and focus on your people!
ONE ISLAND, ONE PEOPLE, ONE DESTINY ! The only alternative !
Congrats and good luck !

Believe it or not,
Like Jeffrey or not,
Try to discourage him or not,
Calling him all kinds of name or not..
That all matters not...
And know what ?
The time for St. Martiners and Antilleans to be recognized and to reclaim what is theirs is NOW and there is nobody or group that can change that.
Every attack on Jeffrey and his CPA party is an attack on St. Martiners and other Antilleans.
Now ALL conscious, frustrated St. Martiners and Antilleans no longer need to spread their votes over parties, who betray them.
They can now concentrate ALL their votes on only ONE party, the CPA which puts St. Martiners first.
The other voters who hate St. Martiners have three parties to cast their votes for; the DP, the NA and the UP of TO.
They are all the same, because all of them betrayed st. Martin people and havetheir blood now on their hands
Do the math...
CPA is set to becoma e major political reality, wait and see.

Congratulations Jeffry on your decision to form a party to defend St. Maartiners. It was extremely sad to see that none of the island council members could define who is a St. Maartiner. They all forgot when they thought of all those naturalized voters who now enjoy more freedoms and rights than us in our own country. In my opinion they are all traitors and will surely live to pay the price. If they do not suffer the consequences of their continued neglect and abuse of their own people, their kids will surely pay the price. Karma is a "B**CH". By this I mean that their kids will also become second cla*s citizens in their own country.
Jeffry, I look forwardv to hearing you and don't be afraid to offend non belonger to St. Maarten/St. Martin. If they are honest people and love the island as they pretend, then they will not get offended and will even support you.
I was planning to vote blank, but now I will definitely support you and I will have my family do the same. GOOD LUCK AND BE STRONG. MOST OF ALL "IT'S TIME TO KICK **S FIRST AND ASK QUESTIOBNS LATER". ST. MAARTEN/ST.MARTIN FOR INDIGINOUS PEOPLE FIRST!!!

In light of the new Party... Will there be enough people on the same page to make a difference?.. At the end of the day ...we .. I mean those with ancestors from the Island of Saint Martin since 1880'sand before. We must not sell anymore land to anybody. Long lease as you will... We made the mistake before and that is how so many others got their toe, then foot in the door of our affairs. Sucession land owner: do not agree to sell. Better you leave the shores to seek your fortune than to sell out like others.

"James said all the other political parties on St. Maarten are the same as they are all in the same political system,..."

So, then this is why you come with another political party! Just a bit of history, Jeffrey was part of the SPM/SPA, then the SAPP, then the DP. Now that he has burned all his bridges and he is tarnished goods, he is coerced by James into coming with this party. If you are solely relying on "indigenous" SXMers to get elected, guess what, they are in the minority and nothing can change that demographic, and you will not get a seat.

There's something noticeable about especially James and Jeffrey and it is the following. They are allowed to talk (sense or nonsense) and that is fine by them, but whenever someone has a remark and it is not what they want to hear, they label it an atttack. This is pathetic! What kind of dictatorial, biased, one-sided narrow minded attitude is this? How do you expect to involve the people in meaningful dialogue, if only your point of view matters? With this kind of attitude of yours, who in their right mind would want you in government? Not me!

The nice thing about democracy is freedom of expression.
I, Leopold JAMES, have always chosen to make use of that right and to express my opinion, regardless-, or even inspiite of what others might think about that.
It simply matters not, nor will it ever matter....
For making use of my right to free expression, I do not solicit the sympathy- nor approval of anyone.
Those who choose to live as cowards-, having no opinion-, let alone no courage to publicly express, such are also free to live as anonymous worms in the mud.
I respect- and will that choice as well.
But, in the meantime- between time, there are also real men and women, who take the risk of saying what is not popular- or politically correct.
That is also their right.
Have a great day.
Leopold JAMES
