Now that Ole Willy and his, so called, team of "intellects" get in front of the "big (DUTCH) boys" they freezing over. And now the Dutch make it clear to Willy and his "professional" commissioner of Finance that they have no clue in dealing with financial budgeting. Instead of bringing home "10.10.10 SEPARATE STATUS" they bringing home "10.10.10. HIGHER SUPERVISION". And the best part of it .... they have no one to blame now.
(Curacao did not feel themselves to high faluting to ask for help months ago). SXM had to make themselves some damn fools again and go take a slap up in HOLLAND in front of the DUTCH media.

Senior citizens ... I guess ..... voted for them in huge numbers because they were going to give them a pot of gold on 10.10.10. Now those same sr. citizens are told: "Just ask the Lord to let you hold on till 2011" then we going take care of you. First 10.10.10. Now 11.11.11? What's next? 12.12.12? And the saga continues.

How come Willy ain't tell the Dutch that he and his "superior entourage" don't have to give any account to them either?
We kept pleading not to rush this 10.10.10. issue and take time, prepare your budget, take it to the IC., be open to "constructive criticism before you make yourself some fools again but nooooo you did not want to listen, now the DUTCH have to point blank tell you that you not ready and now you let Brinkman belittle us again.

So what happen to the 'vak-gedeputeerde' Blackman. He was coming to ensure that our finances were in order. So what happen? Now we have to turn to Curacao for help. The same place that we are trying to move away from. What use has Blackman been other than to cause havoc within the civil core. You staff has proven to be ineffective on all levels. How come we were able to have a balanced budget in 2009? Where is the good gentleman that a*sisted the government last year? The same gentleman that cleaned up your mess on another island Blackman? You brought your 'heavy-weight' in to Finance. What has he contributed towards? Now I hear the top man for Finance want to leave. You've done a 'great' job Blackman. You are a succesful failure!!

Is the leader of Government now admitting that his choice in the present Commissioner of Finance might have been a mistake? Running an independent accountant firm and being in charge of Governmental financial issues are 2 totally different matters.

For Government you need someone with experience and a keen understanding of dealing with actual general financial logistics of a country (Island) who surrounds themselves with a team of experts on various fields, not only knowing figures.

While Mr. Blackman might be an excellent accountant he clearly lacks the experience it takes to run the governmental financial coffers and fails to swallow his pride and ask for help. He made ole Willy look bad now. But Willy learning to sing a tone lower now and was wise enough to accept help. (Oh ... right .... like he had any other choice)
