Erno Labega Sr. is an upstanding person and has served his Island. If his "adult" children want to make themselves perfect fools it should not tarnish his achievements and efforts. They are adults and are to be held accountable for their actions. Erno Sr. in no way tried to wriggle them out of their arrests and is letting the law take it's course. I applaud you Erno.

We all have our cross to bear. Dont matter how you try with your children and they decide they need to take their own way, theres nothing much you can do about it. Erno, just keep the faith. Children those days have no gratitude and thats why they get involved in wrong doing causing parents so much pain. Keep the Faith and know to yourself there are others with worse situations than this. Everything will be okay.

They are hell bent on killing Erno Labega or sending him broke. Well Erno must relaize that he is not responsible for their deeds. And we need to realize that these are men long past 18 and reponsible for their actions. Their mules get caught, makes a plea deal with prosecutors in the US and you are going to face the music. these fellow want to be kingpins in the trade and then the trade gobbles you up. I am sotty for parents who have to go through these ordeals. God be with you and stop worrying too much.

Based on the comments here it looks as if everyone thinks they have to defend Enchie. The story clearly mentioned the age of Erno Jr so who says Enchie is to blame? Secondly while everyone knows that Enchie is indeed an upstanding man it has been years his two sons have been putting him to shame. What Enchie needs to do is remember how this particular son treated him and use that to leave him rot in jail. Enchie you have been spending monies on the best lawyers for years that is why they did not learn. NOw concentrate on your own life and let them lie in the beds they made for themselves.

I totally agree with Sherry, stop paying these big time lawyers all of your money to save or help these rude ass children out of jail. They do not learn so stop wasting your time. I mean both of his son't was wanted not only in SXM but one in USA and the other in Holland, that's to show you that these boys will cause destruction no matter where they go.

If he continues to pay high priced lawyers for them then he is showing a poor example to young St Maarteners and would be an unfit example.
Let him leave them to pay for their crimes then they would understand and learn or DON'T LEARN.
They are either going to make him a pauper or soon he would be stealing the public funds.
Let us look on and see what he does.

As parents you look out for our children, raise them good. There's no telling what they will do so the time is here they stand up for themselves and face the tune.

An advice to you sir.There comes a time that you have to let go.Adopt some of these poor children here who have ambition but no money to pursue their dreams.
Instead of paying money for lawyers,build an Erno LaBega Home for youths or the Technical Institute and let the LaBega name be remembered for helping to mold our young people.

What the hell Laveist has to do with Labega son ? What you think now that the 3 judges was bought out? that cant happend, only in movies. I would suggest you stick to your studies and comment on things you are sure of , because Laveist didn't do a darn thing wrong. Who did wrong they are not going after, but because Laveist was climing to fast as a great politicion that serve his Island, the people in his own party had to drag him back down by setting up.The only way the DP party can rule again is, if the leader step down, because she cause this by not having controll over Maria B .

That's why we have so much ignorance around us. It was proven that Laveist took bribes and mis used the public office. If you believe he did nothing wrong, then you should read a little more. When you take the oath to uphold the laws of the land and be servant to the public then you should be held responsible. what Mr. Lavest did was wrong. Yes relentless, you are right. People on this Island are so ignorant at times and full of hatred. Whatever anyone else did will be dealt with if and when their time comes. However the fact is that Laveist did wrong. Stop looking at all who else did what, it has not been proven and they were not convicted (as yet).

Laveist was convicted so face up to the fact that he committed a crime, be it worse or less than anyone else. He was going to "buss the pot" on all those who did wrong, guess he needs a sledge hammer to buss his pot, his pot refusing to buss. People better learn to wake up fast and get some common sense and not keep their ignorant ways. Laveist set a horrible example for our youth.
