Philipsburg: --- The much talked about SOAB report against ROB (Public Works) is in the hands of the attorney general of the Netherlands Antilles. SMN News learnt that Lt. Governor of the island territory of St. Maarten Franklyn Richards sent the report on to the attorney general hoping that actions would be taken against those implicated in the report.
Prosecutor Rienk Mud confirmed that the report was sent to the attorney general. Mud also confirmed that his office is busy studying the report.

In the meantime, the National Alliance board held a meeting on Tuesday night to further discuss how they would have the National Alliance majority in the executive council handle the report which has been constantly making headlines on St. Maarten.
According to reliable sources the National Alliance board members feel that their party leader needs to act since the commissioner responsible for ROB is not taking the necessary measures to safeguard government. It is understood that one of the contentions of the National Alliance is that this report may well stand in the way when it comes to St. Maarten getting its status on 10/10/10.

Ever since the final report was delivered the executive council has been trying to get Commissioner Theo Heyliger to act on his report but to date nothing has been done.

It's about time something is going to be done with regards to that department. The department needs to be restructured immediately. Everything takes years to get an answer and nobody gets reprimaded for the long delays. Lots of smoke coming from that building, and where there's smoke there's fire.

Now the report has arrived in the hand of Mr. Dick Piar, the attorney general, which means that it could become a criminal investigation. It's also possible that more people will be heard regarding the report and a more thorough investigation could be conducted..
It's an opportune time to make an example of some top civil servants. The Dutch may want to prove that with the coming of 10-10-10, their tollerance level is zero when it comes to corruption in the civil service core. timing is everything, and now it just dropped in their lap.
The political decision should have been taken a while back to clean up the mess, but no, we procratinate and now the justice system will have evidence brought before them to make a judicial call. Once again St.Maarten will be in the spot light and Mr. Brinkam and others of his opinion will have filed day

That entire department needs higher supervision and during the higher supervision it should be restructured.

This is just a joke what's happening on this blog.
1. SOAB wrote a report that's being handled by a committee of experts on behalf of the executive council.
2. Once that report is in handed in to the exectuve council the council will make a decision on what to do in ROB.
3. The public prosecutor hasn't done NOTHING because the REPORT doesn't carry any merrit. I read it on this same blog and allit says is "We think SO, We HEARD SO, we CANNOT PROVE SUCH" etc
4. The report hasn't questioned NOT ONE commissioner (nor Roy nor Theo) and hasn't accused them but implied that civil servants said they were pressured by them. The same civil servants that said the were OFFERED MONEY but didn't take it. (LOL)
This continues trying to make a story before it happens is what GETS reprtors in trouble. Please DEAL WITH FACTS AND NOT HEARSAY, RUMMORS, RELIABLE SOURCES etc.
