It's a shame that they (management) is doing as if they are so innocent and Philips is now the problem. If management is so clean they should leave another entity investigate the allegations (such as Landsrecherche or SOAB) Because they themselves (management) are sending the questions concerning the allegations and we know from experience nothing does not come out of those investigations. I do smell something stinks which they management is trying to cover-up. Carlton has the rights to make the accusations because they accused him first. And they never toke any actions to solve it but know that they are feeling the heat they sending questionare to be filled out a.s.a.p. As you can see something ain't clicking. If management don't have nothing to hide they should leave another entity investigate them not themselves. It's like telling a thief to investigate himself u know the results all is good.

i am not condeming any one, but the good book says what goes around comes around. the whole management has to sit down and try solve their problems, because it is only opening more doors for holland to really say and prove to us that we can not handle our affairs. Listen good to what I am ging to say. Whenever a Curacao officer came here and got promoted over all the Sint Maarten officers, no one got up and protested. Even when Dongor came, you hear them grumble once or twice and then it was o.k. The amount of Curacao police officers came here and bypassed all these local boys is a joke now. But these same
local officers, like a set of damn fools including Carlton Philllips, getting all upset because of the fact that a grassroot officer got into the position. I can almost garanty you that if another Curacao officer had gotten the position not even Phillips would have said a word about it different to grumble, because he would not have been able to got to the union to complain because the Union Leader, the acting Chief, the Head of the Arrest team, the head of the detectives, and you can continue, all of them are from.Curacao. And mind you, I have absolutely nothing against Curacao people, as a matter of fact I love them, but our own people must stop acting up only against our own local people. If you going to get the Union to protest, get to protest about the rest also. As far as phillips is concerned, he is totally wrong with the way he went about his complaints, and he knows that for sure. He is probably in for a lot of trouble. There are many ways to do things, and even though the story may have been juicy for the general public, with the amount of years experience that he has, he should have known better. Not leave his case alone, but deal with it in the correct manner no matter what. Over the last years so many cancies became available in the Police Force, where we saw every Tom, Dick, Harry and Paul got into very good position. Phillips didn't feel like protesting at that time. No as long as no local Officer got the Position he was o.k. We always want to bring down our own. But not this time Phillips. Go lick you imaginary wounds. The Position didn't belong to you or anybody else. Proper procedure was followed. Maybe next time.

Sint Maartener i agree with you that we should not bring down our own, but you are miising the point here. A man was accused od doing a crime Yes a crime and he is also a police officer. He being accused by management of the police force. He asked for it to be investigated for 7 months ago. This was before the position was awarded. How can management accused you and still have you working as a police for 7 years and in different positions and they did not investigate. That is what this is about. The man want his name cleared.He has a right to know what this accusation is about. Ans for your information proper procedure can be followed but it makes no different when up front everyone knew who would get the position. In the police force right know it is not what you know but who you know. You have a godfather you get what you want. Simple as that.

Once more, my point is that Phillips knew that he was being accused as he says for a very long time now. Why wait until you do not get what you think that you are supposed to get, and then you become mad and every body has to know that they are accusing you for years now (since 2002 according to him). According to me he is not disgruntled over any false allegations against him. He is just upset because he did not get the position. Nothing more, nothing less. But I will maintain my point that only when one of our own gets a break everyone including some of our own tries real hard to break them, because we always think that they are not good enough.
It happens over and over. That alone is my point. I sympathize with what ever unjust sutuation that Phillips and he is supposed to fight to clear his name until the very end. But leave other people that have nothing to do with it, out of it.
