Cole Bay: --- A police officer who was escorting a vehicle carrying deportees to the Airport fell off his bike when he tried to avoid a car, which was coming out of one of the side roads on welfare Road, said Police Spokesman Johan Janchi Leonard. Leonard said it seems as if the driver of the car did not see the police motor bike and as such, they almost hit, he said the officer tried swerving away from the car and he fell sustaining a few scrapes and scratches however, the motor bike sustained serious damage and had to be towed away.
