WIN stiletto event unites women across the island.

POND ISLAND:---- The Women’s Island Network (WIN) had another successful event on Saturday March 12, as a means to bring the women of St Maarten together for an evening of educational awareness, motivation, and fun. Being sponsored by USM’s School of Continuing Education and Life Long Learning (SCELL), WIN continues to hold events that promote educational and networking opportunities that support and encourage women to continue to advance themselves and their careers though different avenues.
In joining this powerful organization the individual will receive empowerment through mentorship, professional development and networking opportunities. Secondly, they will get access to the WIN alliance, including discounts with various partners and at WIN events. Furthermore, they will be able to connect with like-minded women through events, conferences, tea parties and more.
Aisha Vanterpool, an Honorary Board Member of WIN stated, “Behind every successful women is a tribe of other successful women who has her back”, stressing the importance of joining a network of supportive women to help your future endeavors.
Chantelle André, a Board member of WIN stated “This event was also to show the diversity of WIN. While we stand firm on educational advancement and empowerment, we also know how to make it light and fun”. This is another reason why members would want to continue to participate in what WIN has to offer.
Attendees at the event stated: “I have never been to such a fun interactive women’s event” and “This was so much fun, can’t wait for the next event”.
The president of WIN, Ms. Marilyn Cronie, stated “It was a very nice event, filled with positive energy. I am very grateful for the wonderful women who came out and participated. I am especially grateful for the WIN-Team, volunteers and sponsors who made this event a success.”
A special thank you to the event sponsors: Loreal Paris, Soggy Dollar Bar, Phoenix Empire Group, T's Closet and Linen Galore. Also, thank you to Mr. Rumari Rogers for the wonderful entertainment he provided.
Members of WIN encourage women of all ages to reach out to them to inquire about how they can also be part of this powerful movement on the island.
