Cupe Coy:--- A lone gun man entered the Starz casino in Cupe Coy Saturday evening with a weapon and tried to demand money from an employee of the casino.
SMN News learnt that when the gunman realized the approached the wrong person he left the casino. The Armed Robbery Team went to the location to investigate attempted armed robbery.
Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson does not consider armed robberies and broad day light murders to be of importance, especially after hours when he is with his family but collecting a huge salary to provide information to media houses.
Chief of Police Peter de Witte confirmed that at an attempted robbery did take place at Starz and the police robbery team was at the location and are busy investigating.
Attempted armed robbery
The Special Robbery Unit of the Police Department is presently investigating an attempted armed robbery at the Starz Casino located in the Cupe Coy area. The incident took place on Saturday October 24th at approximately 06.20 p.m. The call came in to the Emergency Dispatch who immediately sent several police patrols to investigate what had taken place. On the scene the officers spoke to the victims and several witnesses. According to the information that was gathered is that one young man with a handgun threatened two employees with his weapon and demanded money from them. When the robbers noticed that he was unsuccessful in his attempt he fled the scene. A search of the area was done however the suspect in this case was not located.
