PHILIPSBURG:--- The shareholder representative (government) the Supervisory board and management board of GEBE approved the operational and forensic audit government want to conduct at the GEBE.
Based on the articles of incorporation the various boards had to agree and approve the audit that government wants done. The meeting between the various boards and the shareholder representative was held on Monday where audit was approved by all parties.
Having such an audit with show exactly those that abused the use of their credit cards, and their authority while working at GEBE. Right now Rene Gartner seems to be in the hot seat since he have lots of skeletons in his closet since he bought a vehicle without the approval of the shareholder representative, Gartner also bought airline tickets for his personal use and was the one that signed the first check for St. Maarten Service Provider.
It is not yet known which auditing company will conduct the audit and how soon the operational and forensic audit will commence.
Several other persons who holds senior positions in GEBE are now scratching their heads because they do not know what will audit reveal.
SMN News understands that the current Chief Financial Officer Rene Gartner is already shaking since he allegedly did things that were swept under the proverbial carpet.
Efforts made to reach several members of the Supervisory Board who began cleaning up the mess they met at GEBE could not be reached on Tuesday evening.
