Two of the six suspects arrested for the Armed Robbery and Murder of Officer Gamali Benjamin has been released by Police and Prosecution.

Four remain in custody, pretrial detention of Kilo Gotti Extended by 8 days.

PHILIPSBURG:--- One of the four suspects arrested Monday night in St. Peters was released by police six hours after being detained. However, the judge of instruction extended the pretrial detention of the other three including 20 year old J.L who is considered to be the second suspect in the daring daylight robbery that claimed the life of bike patrol Gamali Benjamin who was laid to rest on Thursday.
Police had also arrested the brother of one of the two suspects identified as F.D, the prosecution also released that suspect after not having sufficient evidence to keep him in custody. F. D is the brother of R. D who is nursing gunshot wounds at the St. Maarten Medical Center.
Prosecutor Karola Van Nie said in an invited comment that the pretrial detention of R. D was extended Friday morning by another eight days but the suspect will remain at the St. Maarten Medical Center for further medical treatment.
