PHILIPSBURG:---- On Monday July 14th at around 18:30pm in the early evening hours, the Police Central Dispatched received a call that they had not seen their neighbor for several days. According to the caller they could see what looked like their neighbors lifeless body. The patrol and paramedics were dispatched. Assistance of the fore department was requested to enter the home seeing that it was locked from within. After gaining entry to the home the lifeless body of a female was discovered inside. Around 19:15 p.m. the woman was pronounced dead by the medical doctor. Documentation found in the home indicated that the deceased was a 46 year Guyanese woman. The body was then transported by the funeral home while family members overseas were contacted to inform them of her passing.
The victim has been identified as Anita Latchman of Guyana, she leaves to mourn two children that are residing in Guyana and a relative on St. Maarten. According to information SMN News receives is that when the body of the late Latchman was found it was already decomposing, and the relatives of the deceased woman have to move quicly in laying her to rest.
