PHILIPSBURG: --- The Supervisory Board of GEBE has only one choice left if they are to show good will and fully exonerate themselves from the contract the former COO Romelio Maduro signed with St. Maarten Service Provider, that is the Supervisory Board members have to file criminal complaint with the Police Department against Maduro and Harley or they could either initiate another court case against both parties. While the contract itself looks more like a ‘rip deal’ that are benefiting certain persons there is more than meets the eye and can land several persons in prison.
Chamber records for SXM Service Provider shows that the St. Maarten Service Provider is not even owned by Alfred Harley and neither is it a consultancy company. The company St. Maarten Service Provider belongs to Harley’s mother Mary Elizabeth Harley and the company is registered at the Chamber of Commerce as a sole proprietorship that is to conduct inter island purchasing.
Even more amazing is that when one looks at the contract GEBE signed with Harley it’s on a letter head that does not even belong to Harley but to St. Maarten Service Provider. Here GEBE a government owned company hired someone as a consultant and instead of putting the contract on the government owned company letter head they did it on the letter head that does not belong to the signatory and one that does not have the right to do consultancy work.
