Pond Island:--- Five lucky youngsters will be enjoying all the fun of Sunday’s Family Fun Day – thanks to free all day passes courtesy of the parents and guardians.
The five are the lucky winners of TelCell’s SMS contest in which parents were asked to text their child’s name and age to 3329 for a chance to become a TelEm Kid – and free tickets to the Fun Day park on the grounds of TelEm Group, Pond Island.
The five winners are: Yuri Smith; Alisah Kirton; Kishawn Stapleton; Chantale Osias and Jahson Lambert.
Each has received a “I’m a TelEm Kid” T-shirt from TelEm Group Marketing & Sales Officer, Cheryl Rismay, giving them a free pass on any ride or activity they wish, for the entire day, Sunday.
The young winners say they are looking forward to having a great time and are very excited about wearing their shirts and interacting with other children as special guests of TelEm Group.
And to add to the excitement and anticipation, events planning group, Funtopia, brought along a Mime (Geniquah Thewet) to pose for the photoshoot with the TelEm Kids for the day.
The Mime was of course short on words, but signaled with the thumbs-up sign that she is ready to have fun with the kids in the room and the hundreds of children expected to show up on the day with their parents.
Ms. Lucinda Audain, of Funtopia, said all acts and activities are provided with local talent for this year’s Family Fun Day, and like TelEm, a lot of focus will be on entertainment for children, including magicians, jugglers, clowns, body-painting and many rides and fun activities.
“Children who do not come will surely miss a great treat,” said Lucinda.
TelEm Group has meantime congratulated the SMS contest winners and are proud that they will be carrying the “I’m a TelEm Kid” name during Sunday’s event.
“We want them and all the children and parents who visit on Sunday to have the best time ever. The wet park is sure to keep the children busy, so parents, please don’t forget to bring a change of clothes,” reminded Ms. Rismay.
She is also reminding visitors that the entrance fee for the Family Fun Day is $1, however a fee is being charged for each ride.
